Engineer

About the Role

Join FGL as a Senior Network Engineer and lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge network infrastructure for Bangladesh's premier connectivity provider. You'll work with state-of-the-art technologies and play a crucial role in shaping the digital future of the nation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable network architectures across our nationwide infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize performance across Tier-1 carrier networks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on major infrastructure projects and network expansions
• Implement and maintain BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other routing protocols
• Lead network capacity planning and forecasting initiatives
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical network operations
• Work with vendors on equipment evaluation, procurement, and deployment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in ISP/telecom environment
• Expert knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other routing protocols
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise networking equipment
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles
• Experience with network monitoring tools (Nagios, Cacti, PRTG, etc.)
• CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bengali

Nice to Have

• Experience with SDN/NFV technologies
• Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Perl)
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
